Volunteers provide valuable time and resources to the library each year.

One Time Volunteer Opportunities:

These opportunities are offered several times a year and do not require any special training. Sign ups occur in the library as posted.

Special Event Volunteer: Assist before, during and after special events. Volunteers help move tables and chairs, facilitate activities and help promote the library.

Book Sale Volunteer: Assist with the Friends of Scott Township Public Library’s book sales including setting up and sorting materials.

Tabling Volunteer: Promote the library at community events and assist with the Friends of Scott Township Public Library’s election day bake/candy sales.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities:

These opportunities are offered as needed and require a time commitment and training. Sign ups will occur through the volunteer coordinators.

In-Library Volunteer: Assist with retrieving items from shelves, shelving items, shelf reading and other special projects. Training is required and volunteers must commit to a regular schedule and at least 20 hours per year. Limited openings available.

Friends of Scott Township Public Library Volunteer: The Friends of Scott Township Public Library seek individuals to help plan & coordinate fundraisers throughout the year.

Program Volunteer: Share your talents through a library program. Proposals for new program presenters are accepted on a rolling basis and scheduled quarterly.
