25 Book Challenge
In celebration of our 25th anniversary, this challenge is designed to inspire, motivate, and help you unearth stories through the pages of great books this summer. It is in addition to our annual Summer Reading Challenge.
Age groups: Pre-k (age 5) through age 12 ● Teens: 13-17 ● Adults: 18+
Books, graphic novels, large print, braille, audiobooks, and being read to by a person all count. Advanced readers may log one book per 100 pages completed.
Children will earn a pin for every 5 books they read, and a special prize after reading 25 books as well as special recognition at an end of summer reading event at Scott Park. Children must come to the library to receive pins and final prizes. Final prizes will be available August 3 – 15 and also at the end of summer reading event.
Adults and teens who meet their reading goal of 25 books will be entered into a prize drawing for their age group at the end of the challenge.
Go to Beanstack to register your virtual summer reading account. You can register as an individual, or you can register multiple users as a family.
When you register, you will be asked to select a reading challenge from a list. Select 25 Book Challenge for Summer – Scott Township Public Library.
Click on Join Challenge
When you login to your account, click Challenges at the top of the page.
Click 25 Book Challenge for Summer – Scott Township Public Library.
Scroll below the challenge name and click Badge
You will see a badge for each of the 25 books. Click the Read 1 book badge for your first completed book. Books, graphic novels, large print, braille, audiobooks, and being read to by a person all count. Advanced readers may log one book per 100 pages completed.
Click box that says Log Next Book.
You will have the option to manually enter a title, search for a title, or log without title.
Next, log your reading. Select the date, how many times you read the book, and whether you would like to include a review. Click Log Reading.
After logging your book, you have the option to Log Another Title or Finish.
Repeat this process for each of the 25 books completed.
