Summer reading is for all ages and registration is rolling.
Library Summer Reading
Patrons of all ages to log reading at the library.
For Children: Stop by the library to pick up a packet with instructions on how to compete your weekly log. Summer reading packets can also be picked up at our summer reading kick-off event on June 11.
For Adults and Teens: Once you complete at least 60 minutes of reading in a week (ending Saturday), stop by the library to complete a form. No more than one form per week.
All ages will be entered into a weekly prize drawing by age group as well as a grand prize drawing at the end of the summer.
Virtual Summer Reading
The virtual summer reading allows patrons of all ages to log reading time and win virtual badges for meeting reading goals. All participants who meet their reading goal for the week will earn a virtual badge and be entered into a prize drawing for their age group at the end of that week as well as a grand prize drawing at the end of the summer. Preregistration begins on June 11.
Go to Beanstack to register your virtual summer reading account. You can register as an individual, or you can register multiple users as a family.
When you register, you will be asked to select a reading challenge from a list. Select Scott Township Public Library Summer Reading Challenge 2026.
Click on Join Challenge.
When you login to your account, click Challenges at the top of the page.
Click Scott Township Public Library Summer Reading Challenge 2026
Scroll below the challenge name and click Badge
You will see a badge for each of the weeks. Click on the badge for the current week.
If you have more than one reader on your account, you will need to select the individual that you are looking to add minutes for.
Click box that says Log Next Minute.
You will have the option to manually enter a title, search for a title, or log without title.
Next, log your reading. Select the date, time spent reading, and whether you would like to include a review. Click Log Reading.
After logging your book, you have the option to Log Another Title or Finish.
Repeat this process for each week.
After logging a total of 60 minutes in the selected week, you will be entered into that week’s prize drawing.
