The Scott Township Public Library Board is composed of 5-7 appointed members. The Trustees are appointed by the Commissioners.
Interested in becoming a Board Member?
- You could be a new board member if you are:
- at least 18 years of age,
- a current resident of Scott Township (or a member of an adjacent community that does not have a library),
- willing to assist with library advocacy, fundraising initiatives and events.
- Commitment:
- The term is for three (3) years. A maximum of 8 consecutive years.
- The meetings are usually the 2nd Monday of each month at the Township’s Municipal Building.

- Applications are submitted to the Library Board.
- Applications will be reviewed by the Nominating & Board Development Committee.
- Recommendations are made to the Scott Township Board of Commissioners.
- The Commissioners approve the nomination and then you are on the board!
What does the Board do?
- The Library Board plays a key role in advocating & fundraising for the library.
- The Library Board assists with policy maintenance and development.
- The Library Board oversees the annual budget.
